Information Technology Volunteer |
Location: New York, NY – Times Square
Type: Part-time, unpaid
Start Date: ASAP
Job Description: The Information Technology volunteer will assist part-time with Grameen America’s website and other web-related projects.
Job Responsibilities:
• Maintaining the existing Grameen America website as well as implementing new website features
• Programming to build new web-based tools (e.g., web-based database, web-based fundraising tools)
• Assist in effective and efficient use of social media tools
• Work closely with Grameen America executive team to ensure Grameen America remains current with new developments in technological resources
Ideal candidate:
• Computer Science degree a plus (Bachelor’s, Master’s)
• Professional experience in web design/programming a plus
• Basic web design/development experience required
• Candidate should be comfortable working with online content management systems such as Joomla or WordPress and social networking tools such as blogs, Facebook, YouTube, etc.
• Web design/Photoshop, PHP programming and MySQL database skills are a plus
