Grameen Bank
Grameen Bank provides small loans (also known as microcredit) to the poor in Bangladesh to help fight poverty and to improve the overall socio-economic conditions of the poor, especially women, who have been kept outside the traditional banking system. The bank has over 7.5 million borrowers and is the most recognized microfinance company in the world. The success of the Grameen Bank has led to the replication of Grameen microfinance initiatives worldwide.

Grameen Trust
Grameen Trust is the international outreach affiliate of the Grameen Bank that supports and promotes poverty-focused microcredit loan programs all over the world. Grameen Trust was established by Professor Muhammad Yunus in 1989 and to date has provided support to 141 replication partners in 38 countries. Grameen Trust also directly builds, operates and manages microfinance programs in eight countries including the United States (through Grameen America).

Grameen Kalyan
Grameen Kalyan provides affordable health care services to the rural poor in Bangladesh. Officially launched in 1997, Grameen Kalyan currently operates 30 health clinics in different parts of rural Bangladesh.

Grameen Shakti
Grameen Shakti was incorporated in 1996 to promote, develop and popularize renewable energy technologies in rural areas of Bangladesh. Having served over 1,000,000 people since inception, Grameen Shakti is one of the largest and fastest growing renewable energy technology programs in the world.

Grameen Shikkha
Grameen Shikkha was established in 1997 to improve the quality of life of poor, rural people, especially women and girls, by providing education scholarships and literacy programs. The ultimate goal of Grameen Shikka is to create a society free from illiteracy and the corresponding poverty that results from it.

Grameen Foundation
Grameen Foundation is a U.S. based nonprofit foundation seeking donations and grants to support microfinance institutions which provide microcredit services to the poor. Although independent from Grameen Bank, the Grameen Foundation partners with a network of microfinance institutions and provides financial and technical assistance to those institutions. Grameen Foundation’s work focuses on four key areas: supporting microfinance institutions; harnessing the power of technology; connecting microfinance institutions with capital markets; and expanding microfinance industry knowledge.
